Late Friday night, a knock sounded on the door of our basement sublet, and I went to answer it thinking it was perhaps our upstairs neighbors or our landlord. Turns out, it was Callie and her husband Chris, there for a visit to surprise me for my birthday weekend!
For the next two days, we ditched our sneakers and explored Ithaca’s streams and waterfalls. I can’t believe I had never done that before– it was awesome!
Among other wonderful gifts, my husband surprised me with this cup from Renata Wadsworth, which I’d seen in downtown Ithaca and adored enough to take a (slightly blurry) picture of it. What can I say, I love swirls. :]
